Situated in the Hauraki Gulf, Waiheke Island enjoys a subtropical climate and 100 km of coastline. It is the second largest
of the Hauraki Gulf Islands, the most populated and the most accessible
with regular ferry and air services. Ferries leave downtown Auckland
almost every hour.
Waiheke has become renowned for its international award-winning
wines and its Easter Jazz Festival, which attracts musicians and
followers from all over the world.
The Island boasts a number of excellent cafes and restaurant. There
are banks, shops and almost every service you may need. There are
art galleries, golf and sports clubs, and a host of other recreational
activities.
